Ramblin’ Man Fair just got bigger with the news that the festival organisers have firmed up a main stage bill for Friday July 29.

Now officially a three-day celebration of classic rock, blues, prog and country, it will be down to NWOBHM pioneers Saxon to headline the first full Friday line-up.

And delighted frontman Biff Byford said: “After a great time at the first Ramblin’ Man Fair we are very happy to be asked back to headline the inaugural Friday night this year.

“With all the hits and more coming your way it’s time to get out your denim and leather. It’s going to be special.”

Saxon will be joined by HRH X favourites Last In Line and The Graham Bonnet Band on Ramblin’ Man’s opening night. And a further band will be added to the bill.

News of the festival’s welcome expansion comes hot on the heels of last week’s announcement that Extreme have joined ZZ Top as main stage headliners.
