The Answer will release soaring anthem In This Land on St Patrick’s Day – following their latest run of UK and Irish shows.

Following the runaway success of HRH Mag Record of the Year Solas, the Ulstermen continue to set the classic rock agenda.

And In This Land combines the band’s trademark melody with heartfelt lyrics referencing everyone from Alex Higgins to Rory Gallagher.

The Answer’s Cormac Neeson said: “The song is about growing up in Northern Ireland and the sense of cultural identity that such an upbringing spawns.

“It’s a very colourful and wonderful place – at times contradictory and at times tragic but always unique and oh so memorable.

“It’s something we’re all very proud of: our little land has been responsible for its fair share of heroes, criminals and stars!”

In This Land acknowledges the success of local boys made good and also tips a hat to the many diverse local characters and talent that make up this unique landscape of ‘Irish-ness’.

The new single will be released on March 17 and follows the band’s first run of shows since 2016’s co-headline tour with The Dead Daisies.
