The Lounge Kittens have revealed how ditching the stilettos for trainers proved to be a liberating experience as the sassy rock trio switched their focus to chart-busting R&B.
Usher’s Yeah sees the girls take on the roles of the main man, Lil’ John and Ludacris on the latest track culled from debut album Sequins & C-Bombs.
And Blue Kitten Timia said: “Yeah was always going to get the TLK video treatment. It’s such a standout track for us as we love singing Ludacris’ filthy rap.
“It’s so challenging to perform live. But the video was a great excuse to mix things up again and try out a different style, particularly when it came to our characters.
“It was a real pleasure to dance about in trainers without a stiletto in sight!”
The video is set within London’s legendary Dingwalls venue and features fans who joined the band’s PledgeMusic campaign for a chance to appear on film.
“The fans were AMAZING,” added Red Kitten Jen. “We weren’t sure what to expect after giving them the brief but they did not disappoint.
“They threw themselves into everything we asked them to with typical C-Bomb Squad attitudes – just awesome.”
