Vixen rocked HRH X last year with the evergreen Janet Gardner proving she’s lost none of her passion for hard rock.
And now the singer has teamed up with guitarist/songwriter/producer Justin James (Staind, Collective Soul, and Tyketto) to launch her long awaited solo debut.
Gardner will drop the self-titled long player on August 18 via Pavement Entertainment with the promise of a record rooted in her late 80s heyday.
Gardner and James released a teaser for the new material via YouTube – a decision that reaped instant rewards after the duo landed their record deal.
Vixen established themselves as big hitters on the hair metal scene thanks to hits including Edge Of A Broken Heart and Cryin’.
And the in-demand quartet opened up for Deep Purple, Ozzy Osbourne, The Scorpions, Kiss, Bon Jovi and more.
Their headline set at the 10th anniversary of HRH in North Wales last year went down a storm.
And sources close to Gardner suggest the singer is looking to confirm dates in the UK and Europe in 2018.
