HRH XI-bound Toby Jepson has admitted Wayward Sons aren’t the band rock fans might have been expecting.
And the former Little Angels frontman revealed his new label were taken aback at the snarling Ghosts Of Yet To Come.
But Jepson is confident the punk-fuelled hard rock at the heart of the Sons’ feisty Frontiers debut will resonate with a new generation.
“It’s not another Little Angels record – far from it,” he told HRH Mag. “I think when Frontiers approached me to record a new album they might have been expecting something different.
“But what I love abut working with the label is that we’ve been given creative freedom and Ghosts Of Yet To Come is an expression of where I’m at now.
“It explores my roots and early influences and I’ve found a band who can really bring that vision to life.”
We caught up with Jepson at the 2017 Ramblin’ Man Fair and Wayward Sons will feature in Volume III of HRH Mag – out in November.
Ghosts Of Yet To Come is released on September 15.
