You might know Jon Stevens as the ‘other INXS singer’. Or possibly you remember him as the co-founder and original frontman of The Dead Daisies. That’s in the past. This vibrant modern rock album is all about the future and should be the record that cements the talented vocalist’s reputation as a supreme exponent of his craft.

Stevens has always possessed a range that can comfortably tackle a raft of genres. Starlight focuses on chart-friendly rock, soulful blues and hints of country – recorded in Nashville and produced by Eurythmics legend Dave Stewart, there’s no doubt that the former’s history and the latter’s experience adds to a melting pot of startling creativity.

Lead single Hold On is one of the hottest tracks here with Stevens given free rein to let rip. All About The People boasts an impossibly catchy hook and Vanessa Amorosi is beautifully affecting on Something Bout You.

Stewart’s guitar work is intuitive throughout – Stevens has found the perfect foil for his powerful delivery and, as a consequence, Starlight shimmers from start to finish.
