Five new bands have been added to the heady brew of country-fuelled rock that is this autumn’s inaugural HRH C.R.O.W.S. festival.
The latest event added to the burgeoning HRH roster, C.R.O.W.S. pulls together Country Rock, Outlaw, Western and Southern Rock – by popular demand.
The award-winning O2 Academy Sheffield will welcome a quintet of exciting new acts to September’s diverse line-up – The Fargo Railroad Co., Stonewire, Gorilla Riot, Case Hardin and Journey Home joining some of the biggest names in the business.
The Fargo Railroad Co. are a four-piece Southern Rock, Alt Country and Americana band from Sheffield and the chance to strut their stuff on their doorstep was just too good to miss.
Stonewire are a female-fronted heavy blues rock band – delivering British rock with a dirty Southern twist. Gorilla Riot specialise in no-holds-barred, bluesy, grimy, beer-drinking music perfect for the HRH crowd and Case Hardin, fronted by Pete Gow, have been described by UK Americana as ‘Britian’s best live band’. Journey Home are a multi-award-nominated Country Rock band from Oxfordshire.
HRH C.R.O.W.S. takes place in the Steel City from September 8-9 and festival chief Jonni Davis said: “It was kind of a surprise to be asked to extend the HRH experience into Country but we listened, looked into it, and have put together what our music-loving posse wants – a potent brew of cool Country Rock, Outlaw, Western & Southern Rock.
“As usual the HRH community has been involved in picking and voting for the talent they want to hear. What you’re going to get is a great range of bands over an awesome weekend, delivered by Europe’s leading residential festival provider.”
The five new additions will join a stellar bill including headliners Devon Allman (blues-rocking son of the legendary Greg Allman) and Dan Baird & Homemade Sin. Already announced are: Jared James Nichols, Jo Harman, Zack Logan, Broken Witt Rebels, Elles Bailey, Rebecca Downes, Federal Charm, Wille and the Bandits, Scarlette Fever, Buffalo Summer, Western Sand, Thirteen Stars, The Outlaw Orchestra, Dawson Smith And The Dissenters, Cellar Door Moon Crow and The Nile Deltas.
HRH C.R.O.W.S. will provide quality accommodation for fans: organisers have pinpointed four HRH hotels on the venue’s doorstep with one designated as Royalty (a package that includes passes to the upstairs balcony with private lounge, bar, toilets, security and seating).
