Influenced by classic rock glitterati from Bon Jovi to Thin Lizzy and Tom Petty to Bruce Springsteen, London-based singer songwriter Mark Curran is a must-see on the live circuit this month.

A barnstorming show at Glasgow’s O2 ABC preceded last night’s shindig at Manchester’s Night & Day Café.

And tomorrow sees Curran return to Newcastle and a show at the city’s intimate Cluny 2 venue.

“I love being out on the road and this tour’s been fantastic so far,” he said. “After Newcastle we head to London’s Islington Academy before festival shows later this summer.

“We’re playing Carfest North and South this year so that should be something special.”

Curran – the band – will be selling copies of new single Better Days at all of this month’s live shows.

And Mark added: “When they’re gone they’re gone! There are two new songs on there too but fans can only pick them up at our gigs.”
