Lancashire rockers Massive Wagons, recently signed to Earache Records, are at loggerheads with Lancaster City Council because of a mural that was put up with their album artwork because it is classed as ‘advertising’. The giant poster was put up on the gable end of ‘The Pub’, a lively music venue in Lancaster where the band said it all began for them.

A fan led petition has been set up in support of the popular band in the hope that the council will overturn their decision or at least give the band time to apply for the correct planning permission to have the artwork on the side of the pub. The band were not aware that artwork on a private building would be classed as an advert and therefore needing planning permission. They have been told to remove the mural by the end of July.

The petition has clocked up almost 3,000 signatures in just a few hours. To sign the petition go to http://bit.ly/savenelson. Lets #fightthesystem

Full Nelson the album is due for release on August 10th and can be pre-ordered from www.earache.com/fullnelson
