HRH are pleased to be able to announce that the dates of the rescheduled HRH Blues VI will be the 10th & 11th April 2021 – once again at the 02 Academy Sheffield.

HRH Blues is stoked to announce that, by fan demand, Dr Feelgood and Blockheads legend Wilko Johnson is once more confirmed as our Sunday headliner! We’ve been chasing the 70’s and 80’s icon for nearly 5 years – and finally, we have our man. Wilko is busier now than ever having released his first studio album in over a decade – “Blow Your Mind” – in 2018.  With a style all his own, it’ll be a set never to be forgotten.

HRH welcomes back the legendary Bernie Marsden as Saturday headliner for HRH Blues VI.  Famed for his stint in arguably the greatest line-up of Whitesnake, Bernie penned classics such as ‘Here I Go Again’ and ‘Fool for Your Loving’ before their transformation into a hair-metal band.  His solo sets are something to behold, including tracks of course from Whitesnake but also his solo career, most recently from 2014’s critically acclaimed album Shine.  A truly worthy headliner for Saturday.

The Quireboys need very little introduction to the HRH family – being signed of course to the Off Yer Rocka label.  This will be a blues covers set based around the “White Trash Blues” album – as performed at Ramblin’ Man and Maryport Blues festivals.  Spike and the boys relish every live performance, so playing to thousands of blues aficionados at the O2 Academy in Sheffield for HRH Blues VI in April 2021 will be right up their street.

Billboard Blues Chart topper Mike Zito was a bandmate of a certain Devon Allman in the renowned Royal Southern Brotherhood – and his solo career is blossoming with the release in 2018 of his latest and 15th album “First Class Life”.  In his own words, having grown up poor in St Louis the now Texas based singer-songwriter-guitarist believes he has a second chance at life – relishing the chance to tour the world to sing his songs.

Being described by Joe Bonamassa as “a fantastic guitar player” certainly sets the bar high for Brit blues sensation Danny Bryant. Latest album “Means of Escape” from 2019 showcases his earthy vocals and incredible fretwork – described by many as his best work yet in almost 20 years of producing top blues-rock albums, having started his professional music career at just 18 years old.

Wolverhampton born Rebecca Downes graces the Saturday main stage in Sheffield with a raft of awards under her belt including Best Female Vocalist from both The British Blues Awards and FORM UK Blues Awards.  Rebecca played at the inaugural HRH CROWS and went down a storm. Perfect for HRH Blues VI!

Crossing the Irish Channel from County Cork are Irish blues sensations Crow Black Chicken – sometimes described as the Irish ZZ Top – no pressure then!  Latest studio album ‘Pariah Brothers’, their third, kicks like a startled mule and shows why we had to get these guys over for their HRH Blues debut.

We are also delighted to announce that Lol Goodman Band and Porcelain Hill will join us on April 10th and 11th 2021 for the rescheduled HRH Blues VI at The O2 Academy Sheffield, in addition to the already announced stellar lineup which also includes : Samarkind, Thirteen Stars, Pot Kettle Black, Ryders Creed, Snakewater, Stone Mountain Sinners, The Rainbreakers, Catfish, and The Connie Lush Band.
