When Lemmy passed away long-time band-mate and best buddy Phil Campbell could have been forgiven for calling it a day and riding into the sunset.
Nobody would have complained.
Nobody, that is, apart from the man himself. Lemmy would have been utterly horrified at the thought – equally, the late, great Motörhead frontman would have been delighted with the Bastard Sons’ hard rock classic of a debut.
Singer Neil Starr is the perfect fit for Campbell’s signature riffs and his sons (Todd, Dane and Tyla) are in riotous form on The Age Of Absurdity.
From raucous opener Ringleader to deeply affecting set closer Into The Dark this is absurdly good stuff.
